Education Services
- CommunityLink provides English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for refugees and immigrants. The curriculum is geared toward "Everyday English" and "English for the Workplace." In addition, CommunityLink operates a computer lab where students use programs that help them develop English literacy and job skills.
Cultural Orientation & Adjustment Services
In collaboration with community partners, CommunityLink provides a six-session Cultural Orientation Series. This series of classes helps orientate refugees and immigrants to life in the United States.
Topics include: U.S. Health Care, Public Education System, U.S. Laws, Employment Readiness & Rights, U.S. Banking/Finance, Cultural & Family Adjustment.
Life Skill Training
- CommunityLink provides an on-going life skills training program. Using the "Training Kitchen," refugees and immigrants are taught the basics of nutrition, home, food, kitchen and fire safety.
