Education and Family Service Opportunities
- English Language Tutoring for Adults: Classes meet at CommunityLink Monday and Tuesday mornings (9:00 - 11:00), Tuesday afternoon (3:00 - 5:00) and Wednesday night (6:30 - 8:00). Tutors provide one-on-one and small group support to English students. No need to be fluent in languages other than English - tutor training and resources provided.
- Computer Training: Use CommunityLink's computer lab to teach basic typing, word processing, and internet use.
- Childcare: is offered for toddlers and preschool age children while classes are in session. Enable parents to attend English language literacy classes by spending time with their children. Volunteers work alongside paid staff to help refugee children prepare for school by reading stories and helping develop the refugee children's social and English language skills.
If you wish to volunteer, please complete the online Volunteer Application and select the Submit button to return by email to CommunityLink. Otherwise print, complete and return the completed application by mail or in person to CommunityLink:
